Who are these children...hehe

Summertime

We are sure getting our bout of summer, we have barely even had a drop of rain in 2 months, ok maybe a drop, but thats it! I went to bed at 11 tonight and woke at 4 because it feels like we live in a swampland, we are getting some humidity , the icky, sticky kind, I am just not used to that...

Ok so I haven't posted since Christmas, wow has it been that long, really!?

Most of you see me on Facebook, I love Facebook.. but it's more of a keeping in touch kinda thing then being able to be personal, at least for me it is.. I had no idea how fun it would be to find old classmates etc.. even old boyfriends... to find most of them doing well with families of their own .. Hey Dad do you remember my old boyfriend from highschool that rode his bike all the way to your house, which is a 3 hour drive from over here.. well yup he is still riding... has a pretty wife and daughter but still riding that damn bike...hahahaha.. ok probably has a new one by now...

Ryan and Rebekah are doing well, Josh is doing well he is waking up in Texas about now, in the humidity too I am sure.. he is delivering coca' cola in New Mexico tomorrow.. then he is taking a hometime.. I saw him 2 weeks ago, and soon again..

Beka just got home from Montana she was visiting her dad for 3 weeks, she got to go camping and spend time with her friend Lindsey who also went camping with them. Ryan stayed here as he was working, almost 19 in Oct, I just can't believe it... Oh one more thing... Beka jumped off the big steel bridge by her dads house, her brother had done it many times and now she can say she did it too.. (no worries the water is very deep and her dad was there to check it out) the first thing she did was call her brother and tell him, hehe!

Ryan went to see Infected Mushroom and watch the fireworks in Seattle over the 4th with his buddies... and yes he made it back home alive... oh come on moms worry..

Beka went to Yellowstone for 10 days on June 8th with her school (6th, 7th, and 8th graders) she goes to a private school so there were about 35 to 40 kids ( I am not exactly sure of the numbers) I think as many parents aka chaparones tagged along, everyone wants to go to Yellowstone..hehe! Ryan did that trip in 6th grade and still talks about it... Beka saw many animals from bears to bison... and of course Old Faithful....

Beka's softball team for jr. high 8th grade was undefeated this year.. AWESOME JOB GIRLS!~ The other team she plays on outside of school missed the #1 position at the tournament but took #3, even though they only lost one game all year... they still did an AWESOME JOB!

Ryan has taken up bouldering, and floating the river almost everyday , in between working and who knows what, lol! It's his summer he gets to have fun before he has to start living in the real world, you only get one summer after you are done with highschool... then real life smacks you in the face!

Ok it is now 5 am and I think I just might be able to sleep again at least for a couple hours... dreams are calling... until next time...

Seasons Greetings from our town to yours!
Well Friends and Family I guess I haven't blogged in FOREVER, sorry life got away from me for a few months..
Lets see, summer flew by in a heartbeat, and fall blew by in a breeze now here I sit typing and it's 28 degrees out and on to winter we fly!
Ryan is a senior this year he just turned 18 in October... Rebekah is in 8th grade and just turned 14 in October.. my how time flies when you're raising kids... life is treating us well, we have our ups and downs just like the rest of you... but no major catastrophies and we are all still standin' ! Josh is still over the road so we see him only once or twice a month... yes it sucks, but hey at least we all have jobs in this day when our economy seems to be crumbling... He will be home for Christmas...
Ryan went to Montana to hunt with his dad over Thanksgiving this year and shot himself a doe (sp) and Beka and I headed to Dad and Penny's to eat some turkey and see family... lets see, Jason, Greta and the boys were there along with Aunt Jeannie and Paul, Hannah and the most adorable baby in the world ( Oh man Hannah she is gorgeous) Dan and one of his boys, I think Chandler went to his girlfriends (yup its tough when they grow up...hehe) Grandpa Barney (HUGS) Annie and her boyfriend ( very very nice to meet you) Nick and his girlfriend (nice to meet you too)Shalayna (sp) came down too... Dinner was awesome , seeing family even better...Thanks Dad and Penny Jo for having us all... I hope I haven't forgotten anyone
I need to get on my Christmas cards... oh man time flies.. Love you all... Postin' Up... Gina

Some People

Some people come into our lives and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never the same.
Some people come into our lives and quickly go...some stay for awhile and embrace our silent dreams.
They help us become aware of the delicate winds of hope~and we discover within any human spirit there are wings yearning to fly.
They help our hearts to see that the only stairway to the stars is woven with dreams~ and we find ourselves unafraid to reach high.
They celebrate the true essence of who we are~ and have faith in all that we may become.
Some people awaken us to new and deeper realizations~for we gain insight from the passing whisper of their wisdom.
Throughout our lives we are sent precious souls~ meant to share our journey however brief or lasting their stay they remind us why we are here.
To learn... To teach... To nurture... To Love~
Some people come into our lives to cast a steady light upon our path and guide our every step, their shining belief in us helps us to believe in ourself.
Some people come into our lives to teach us about love~ the love that rests within ourselves.
Let us reach out to others and feel the bliss of giving~ for LOVE is far richer in action then it ever is in words.
Some people come into our lives and they move our souls to sing and make our spirits dance.
They help us to see that everything on earth is part of the incredibility of life~ and that it is always there for us to take of its joy.
Some people come into our lives and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never ever the same.

YIKES

How would you like to walk into your kitchen and see your 2 daughters playing on the floor and then look at your sliding glass door and see this (pic of cougar) staring at them as they play?

I received an e-mail from a friend of mine in town the other day and a friend of hers receieved an e-mail from a friend in Omak and they found that cougar on thier porch looking at their daughters like dinner through their slider... SCARY!

Fire, Fire, Fire!

Last week around 9:50 p.m. we heard a HUGE explosion... Beka comes running from one end of the house and me from the other, we opened her blinds and see nothing , then another huge explosion we then go into Ryans room, open his blinds and the house across the street is on fire . Flames are shooting clear up the pine trees!
Fire trucks and sherrifs and ambulance... and let me tell you I had no clue we had so many neighbors... they must've come from under rocks, bush people ..where did they all come from?
Anyway this went on until around 3 am... investigation etc... the woman that lived there was in her 70's and passed away in the fire.. her fiance is over at Harborview with bad burns and lung trouble, needs prayer! I guess her 2 oxygen tanks blew up... very sad! I had never seen anything quite like this, niether had the kids... pray for the man if you are a praying person , his name is Ted! Thanks G

I just couldn't resist!!!

Happy Resurrection Day aka Easter!

The Old Rugged Cross

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suffering and shame;
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.

So I'll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down,
I will cling to that old rugged cross,
And exchange it someday for a crown.

Oh that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,
Has a wonderous attraction for me;
For the dear Lamb of God left his glory above,
To bear it on dark calvary.

So I'll cherish that old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down,
I will cling to that old rugged cross,
And exchange it someday for a crown.

On that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
A wonderous beauty I see,
For twas on that old cross, Jesus suffered and died,
To pardon and sanctify me.

So I'll cherish that old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down,
I will cling to that old rugged cross,
And exchange it someday for a crown.

To the old rugged cross I will ever be true;
It's shame and reproach gladly bear,
Then He'll call me someday to my home far away,
Where His glory forever I'll share.

So I'll cherish that old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down,
I will cling to that old rugged cross,
And exchange it someday for a crown.
