Memories of a Great Kid! R.I.P. Rocky

This post is written with a heavy heart~ when we lived in Montana , Ryans best friend whom he was joined at the hip with was "Rocky" ... Rocky passed away Nov. 25th at 16 years old and its been very very hard on the kids and I and I cannot even imagine what the family is going through.
I worked for Rocky's mom Bonnie she was an awesome lady and friend and my prayers go out to her and her family today!
Ryan would see him everytime he would visit his dad, the last great memory he has is from August when they all went paintballing out by Rocky's house. Good times were shared, lots of laughter and fun!
Rocky went to a party on Sat night and although we know what happened for the most part some details are sketchy still... what we know is he was drinking and some older guy was selling drugs (extacy etc. ) not sure if the combination of alcohol and drugs killed him but he has now gone home. Rocky was not a drug user, he made a bad choice that night that cost him his life ! One choice he can never take back , I for one will miss him and I hope his death wasn't in vain!
I still remember Rocky sitting at my kitchen table talking my ear off about this and that, he had a huge huge heart and was one of the most compassionate kids I have ever met.
Ryan finds himself going through many emotions, sadness to anger back to sadness to questioning everything and asking WHY WHY WHY! He says mom Rocky didn't use drugs last time I saw him, he didn't I swear... to which I say well honey he just made a bad decision one night thats all it took.. learn from him don't let this all be in vain... remember the good memories, the bond you two shared!
I just want to say to all you kids , I know peer pressure is a huge thing and partying is big... but it only takes one time of something that your body cannot handle, whether it be alcohol or anything else, too much alcohol is poison to your body, puking is your way of trying to get rid of it.. if you are doing too much of that make sure you are not on your back... get to the hospital!

Get "HIGH" on life instead of drugs and alcohol! Life is worth living and we need you around!

Today is the funeral , Ryan took the Amtrak down to say his good-byes to his best jr. high friend... We loved you Rocky... will always hold you dear in our hearts and will always remember !!!
