Comments Please!

Ok all my family and friends that actually read my blog... comment me please! It would be nice to know that you are actually checking me out and all our crazy pictures I keep posting... Plus I am in some kind of a contest so I need your comments... its easy to do... at the bottom of a post it says comment... you can either leave your name or not but would be nice to hear from you all!!! Thanks.... G

Cheers to you Aunt Jeannie

Last week I think it was Wednesday I was having one of "those" days, you know the ones, where nothing seems to be going quite right . I was trying to get out the door to pick up Ryan from school to go get his tux for homecoming and our dog ran off so I had to wait for her to get home which only made me later then I already was... I was irritable , she finally came wandering back home all happy for her escape so I put her in and took off... I stopped to get the mail on my way out... and I got a package.. ME a package just out of the blue.. it wasn't my birthday , it wasn't mothers day or Christmas and I did not know the address so I ripped it open and found a coffee grinder box... which was a good thing since ours had just stopped working and we couldn't make coffee since we only had whole beans... my first thought was who in the world knew we needed a coffee grinder ( this was just too strange) since I was driving I couldn't get it open so once I picked up Ryan he opened it for me... No it wasn't a coffee grinder it was a Big Starbucks Coffee Mug... with a great lil saying on it... ( I LOVE IT) It totally put a smile on my face... and it also reminded me to buy a coffee grinder while I was in town...heehehe! Ryan and I racked our brain trying to figure out , first of all who knows I am a coffee freak...( well that would be everyone) and second who sent it... It came from Everett so I called my Fav Aunt Jeannie... she said not me with a snicker... I knew it was her... anyway "Cheers to you Aunt Jeannie" I love my new mug I use it every morning now!!! Thanks for making my day!!!!

Well the big homecoming dance is this weekend... so Ryan and I went down and got his tux today after school... things sure have changed since I was in school... now homecoming is almost as formal as the Prom... it was only semi-formal back in my days... His date Ali has a black, white and red dress... so Ryan got black pants, a black vest, white shirt, red bow tie, and black and white shoes... they are going to look smashing...hehe! I can't wait to take some good pictures before they leave on Saturday night! For those of you that have never seen Ryan dressed to the nines... I will post pics soon...Off to bed now... Peace~G

Don't let thier cuteness fool you, they are pests!

I checked out a few websites on Raccoons since they are becoming a nuisance at our house... here is a good one! http://www.entm.purdue.edu/wildlife/raccoon_pictures.htm Don't let thier cuteness fool you , they can do real damage! AAACK!

Picture This~~>Me...jumping out of bed... in my oversized T-shirt... I open the front door fast thinking that will scare them away... ( I guess we have done it so many times they do not fear us anymore).. I see our cat just sitting on his kitty bed watching them... they don't seem to harm him though he does not mess with them! So I turn on the bright light, but instead of running thier beady lil eyes just stare at me, however, they do make it to the stairs on the end of the porch with me saying shooo shoooo ... but instead of running away they growl at me... I am the one that ran away ... I woke Josh... "Josh" "Josh" wake up the raccoons are growling at me... he looks at me in a daze.. wha what? The raccoons... THEY GROWLED AT ME!!!! I don't like these raccoons anymore make them leave our house alone!!! He said hmmmm .... don't corner them they will scratch you ... puuuulease... I won't even get that close... I guess Josh just wasn't that interested tonight considering these critters seem to always come on our front porch... sooooooooooo someone please tell me how to get rid of these pesky critters.... they are becoming a thorn in my side... Sure sure they look cute... haha don't let the cuteness fool you... they are pains in the rear and THEY GROWLED AT ME!!!! YIKES!

Don't order from SkateAmerica.com!

Man I tell ya everytime I take a picture of Sammy he has demon eyes... aaaack!
I ordered a backpack and 2 shirts for Ryan back in August from SkateAmerica.com 3 weeks later we still had not received the items so I called and get the run around... 3 more weeks went by and I still have nothing, I sent e-mail to the company telling them I want my order cancelled and my money put back on my card... still nothing... so I started harrassing them on the phone asking what is the problem etc... then I read on the internet that this has happened to a lot of people that ordered from them... so the last time I called and actually got a person I said you have 3 days to get the money back into my account or I am contacting a lawyer, the next morning it was posted back.... persistence pays off!!! I WON THAT BATTLE! DON'T ORDER FROM SKATE AMERICA!!!!
Anyway just thought I would give you all warning that have boys ... not to order from that company!
Ok I sent my dad an e-mail from Josh and my e-mail.... and when I filled out the e-mail it only had space for one last name... I put in Josh's... so dad sends me mail saying WHAT IS YOUR LAST NAME....hehehehehe! No I haven't snuck off and gotten married yet... but yes we are planning on getting married ... we have not set a date yet... we may sneak off one of these days who knows... if we do we will take the kids so they can be a part of it all... then we will let you all know and have a big reception...hehe... gifts are always nice...hahahahahhaa... my towels are lookin kinda raggedy now and new dishes would always be nice... just kiddin....lol! Google Earth!

Ok how many of you have checked out Google Earth? My dad told me about it then my friend Brian... if you haven't checked it out you need to.

You put in an address (yours for instance) and it takes you via sattelite right to it you can see what your place or any place looks like from above .

Last night Josh and I took a trip to Seattle to Quest Field and the Space Needle, then to Las Vegas, to Disneyland then to Paris France ... we saw our old houses we grew up in among other things... this is really cool check it out !!!!

Receieved an e-mail from my friend Jannine this morn and I loved it.... here it is!

Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin. God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff-- including the seeds of doubt, hate and greed. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see.
This was passed on to me from another pumpkin. Now, it is your turn to pass it to a pumpkin. I liked this enough to send it to all the pumpkins in my patch.
Happy Fall!

Ryan and Ali (The girl he is taking to Homecoming )
Here's to a good cup o' joe.... and why I can't sleep...haha! So here I am ... I just watched Ross the Intern on Jay Leno, man that guys segments cracka me up!!!!
Ryan is going to the homecoming dance, his first big highschool dance where he actually asks a girl ...haha... he even sent her flowers with a note asking her ... he said it had to be a big deal and that everyone does it... I said wow they didn't do that when I was in highschool... he says they didn't? I said we were lucky to get asked at lunch or in between classes.. and it went something like this... hey, you wanna go to homecoming? To which the girl said ummm yeah I guess... the guy says, ok cool and walks away...hahahahaha! The girl goes home all happy and tells her mom she needs to buy a new dress, and waits by the phone for days til he calls...haha! Oh the memories....
Our new precious cute lil kitten scratched my eyeball tonight (OUCH) ! I was laying on the bed with him and he was staring intently at my face and then WHAM his paw into my eye... I think he was watching my eyelashes... oh the curse of long eyelashes...It still is all red and feels like it has a scratch on it and waters a lot... hopefully will feel better tomorrow!
Lost was on tonight FINALLY... now I wonder how did I ever let myself get sucked into that show.....aaaaack and I find myself hoping this is the last season so we can find out why the heck they are all on that dang island and why thier lives all coincide, why must I torture myself with shows such as these?????
Beka thinks she is going to try her luck playing basketball this year, you know what that means... more driving to and from practice for me, then to all the games... she still likes softball best but we shall see how she does in basketball this year! Her school is taking the 6th graders to Seattle to see the dead sea scrolls soon, field trips to Seattle are always fun, I may have to tag along ....
Josh has been driving to Long View everyday lately... long days he doesn't get home til after 7 but the paychecks are great! As long as he is home for the Monday night game he is happy...hehe!
Well fall weather has definately set in around here, the leaves are changing to the most beautiful colors. I need to take a drive down Tumwater canyon and post some good pics on here... it's gorgeous! I think tomorrow I will decorate my porch with my fall wreath and rug... gee maybe I might even sweep it off, now there's a concept!
One of these weekends we need to get over to dads for a visit and see gramps too... I will call soon and make plans dad!!!
Hey Aunt Jeannie-O whats shaking ?
Hmmmm Rod Stewart is on and he's singing Credence Clearwater Revival ... Have you ever seen rain (boy have i, just not much lately)!

Things that turn my stomach

What is a conscience?

From Websters.com
1.
the inner sense of what is right or wrong in one's conduct or motives, impelling one toward right action: to follow the dictates of conscience.
2.
the complex of ethical and moral principles that controls or inhibits the actions or thoughts of an individual.

1 Timothy 4:2 says.... Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having thier conscience seared with a hot iron....

... Conscience is not a legislator that makes law, but a judge that convicts of guilt, passes sentence, in respect to the past, and decrees and enforces moral obligation to obey law, in regard to the future. Conscience, as a judge, smiles upon obedience, and frowns upon disobedience.

I watch the news and wonder how many minds are seared as with a hot iron?

First off... the school shootings, media frenzy seems to cause more copycat shootings and it makes a mom uneasy to send kids to school these days so always send them wrapped in love and prayers!

Now the thing that is really getting under my skin is are our congressmen "ABOVE THE LAW?" It sure seems that way doesn't it!
Rep Mark Foley FL.. sending in-appropriate e-mails to an underage male page... isn't this a crime????? I don't care if it was a girl or a boy its wrong and others are arrested for this why isn't he? Instead he quits and now its being blamed on alcoholism... puuuuuuuulease!

Hastert said his top aides and Rep. John Shimkus, a fellow Illinois Republican overseeing the page program, acted appropriately by trying to resolve the matter as an internal GOP problem rather than mounting a more formal investigation that would have involved Democrats.

The Washington Times, one of the most reliably conservative voices in the nation's capital, called for Hastert, R-Ill., to "resign his speakership at once" for not doing enough to investigate questions about Foley's e-mails.
Are our congressman above the law?

This whole thing doesn't sit well with me what are your thoughts???
